Topic: COmbined Ranking
Posted: Sunday, March 12, 2006 6:35:52 AM
Hi Craig and Doug

How do I combine a ranking for Earnings per Share and Asset Turnover.

I can create a scan for EPS and pick top 25%, in the same scan I can add Asset Turnover and pick top 25%. How ever this does not sort the final list from combined highest rank to combined lowest rank.

How do I combine together and sort.

Example : Company 1 : EPS (rank = 10) + Asset Turnover (rank = 20) = 30 (total).

Company 2 : EPS (rank 1) + Asset Turnover (rank = 50) = 51

Therefore Company 1 is higher combined rank than company 2

I want the top 30 companies

Does this make sense ??

Thanks

Ha ! I found the answer.

I was using

C / O * 100

as my first scan to find stock with closing greater than opening. I forgot the ( )

(C / O) * 100

Hi

I created a PCF

((C-O)/(H-L))*100

to find the strength of the open & close versus the high and low (part of a number of PCF to look for a strong bullish day).

When I test the formula it works correctly but uses the data from the previous day ! I am using price data after the close on Friday but the scan is using data from Thursday.

Any ideas why this is happening ?

Thanks

Hi

why do you need to be on the Daily Chart to see the correct moving average. When I switch to 1 hour chart the moving average lines change.

Thanks

Yes

I am connected to the internet (MSN Messenger is on 100%) but the chat server is disconnected. Today it was okay for 5 min. In the evening I can see it connecting in briefly (0.5 sec) and disconnecting.

I can see three other people from the club but when the server is disconnected their names disappear. To get their names back I have to pass my cursor over the box (black bottom right).

Strange

No of the other people in the club are experiencing the same problem.

any help would be appreciated

Hi

I have TCNet as a Pltinum member. I have joined on of the clubs (sricoaching). When we do a conference call I can not see the list of the names of the other club members who are online. All I see is sricoaching in the small black box (bottom middle of screen in pink letters). I do not see the list of other members in the black box bottom right. The TCNet chat box always says 'Disconnected from TCNet Chat'. Any ideas how I connect or what is missing.

Thanks

Ian
