I always had trouble working with the layout feature of the TC2000. I thought it would have been fixed in this version. But, it is Still the same.
I make a couple of different layouts. A four window layout of different time frames, and a three window layout(one of them with an indicator, and this is what happens.
When I swith from one fomrat to another, or to a single chart- layout, going back to any of the above mentioned layouts, brings a completly different format from what I originaly saved. Not only that, but it also comes up in so many different forms, that I can not even figure out what is going on.

Layouts only deal with the number of charts and how they are synchronized. Chart Templates deal with all other aspects of the chart. It sounds like you need to make and save some chart templates first then use them in your layouts. Check out these videos to help clarify these two different features.
Customize your charts using Chart Templates
Adding, removing and saving indicators to a chart template
Chart template saving options in the Tools | System Settings menu
View multiple symbols or multiple views of the same symbol using Layouts

If you're referring to the spacing/sizing of the price and indicator windows, these are not saved to the layout.

Thanks Craig, I went to all the links that gave me. I also read StockGuy comment. But, it does not work. I think that easiest way for me would be to give an example.
I have deleted all the pre-laid, layouts, except the "Industry/Sub-ind comparision. I have created a four chart window of "INTC, TXN, AMD, NSM". These charts are Sync in "Time Frame + Zoom".
Lets say that I have this window on. It is displayed exactly as I saved it. I change to the "industry/Sub- industry layout" that I mentioned above. And this comes up as it is supposed to. But, when I go back to my four- chart layout, the Top right hand side window, which I have saved as symbol "AMD", instead comes up as "MG830", which is the industry component.
If I close and restart the TC2000, the four chart layout comes up correctly. But, if I swith to another layout, it gets mixed up all over again.

The tickers in the child windows are not saved to the layout.
The only thing saved to a layout is the number of charts and the synch setting.
I think the option to save the templates and tickers in child windows not syched by template or active symbol would be a nice addition.
Its not a bug, it is just not a part of the feature.

But, as I said, my four-charts layout contains from the Top-left corner going counter-clockwise "INTC,TXN,AMD,NSM". When I open the "Industry/Sub-industry comparision", a worden set layout, it give me a three chart widnow. A large one on the left side which "INTC", and two smaller ones on the left. "MG8730" on the top, and "MG831", at the bottom.
From what you are saying, I should be losing two of my charts when I go back to my four charts layout. Presumembly the two charts on the left side, "AMD + NSM".
But, it is only "AMD" that gets replaced by "MG830".
Also if a saved layout does not come up as you saved it, then what is it good for. Am I missing something here.
