There dsent seem to be any sectors "going up with momentum" right now which as i gather is odd even for bear markets.

But some of the healthcare stocks are stil looking ok.  Believe it or not allot of smaller banks and a few brokerages look good.

the small banks are a dime a dozzen right now.  Do a MS sort on the sector for divergences and you'll see them.

SF is a brokerage that looks oddly strong.
a few random stocks that are on my watchlist

AFAM
UTI
LHCG
QCOR
RJET
INT
EBS
MITI
PETS
GB
UTI
FDO
APOL
OSIR

Thoughts anyone?

Hi Scott.  Thoughts indeed!  I currently own three longs and all are on your list...LHCG, PETS, QCOR.   I started accumulating QCOR and and PETS in late Oct., and LHCG  five days ago.  Hope to add to all three if recent highs get taken out.  For all picks I use a strong dose of the IBD method of avoiding beaten down stocks.   As good as these are  doing right now there are others that I have stopped out of recently for losses.   On particular stock that drove me nuts past few weeks/months is APEI...I bought and sold it three different times all for losses...a look at its daily chart shows why, quite erratic and volatile since October vs. its previous few months.   Others on your list in which I currently have on my watchlist as serious candidates are AFAM and EBS.  I guess we're both using somewhat  similar screening techniques.  All I've done since the market collapse is carefully screen each day for stocks maintaining very strong relative price strength.  All the other stocks on your list I like too, nice job.

Someof those have been on my watchlist for a bit.  Admittedly ApsII brought them up also.  I then saw the thread  where many of them are featured.

In this market there are so few strong looking stocks that I imagine that a person with anything remotely resembling a strength sears will find the same items.

that happens.  I sent David John Hall an Email about  a topic only to discover that he started a thread on that topic  unknown to me several days earlier.

I can't keep up with all of them.  I just check in as a diversion between studying sessions.

FPTRY:

thanks for the kind remarks.

I do not know if it is coincidence or something else but the very fact that I came across the three stocks listed above at around the same time that Fpetry did using different techniques (some of them being fundamentals); maybe there is some truth that the fundamentals are already factored into the charts.
