the 55 ema /hourly was @ 9,180 (dj30)and todays hi was near there. I made my calculations and estimates this am b4 the open and left (to buy SPY 85 puts a limit order @ 2.75) and came back home @2pm!
No BS here, so far, they are worth $4 now. SignaltapNov

i don't know about the rest here, i like the exchange of information here, but i don't go to sleep at night wondering about signaltap's trades.
are you looking for recognition? are you going to post all your trades now(please don't)? just your winning ones?
or is the message the 55ema is a holy grail? personally, i'd rather see the market action before placing a trade. if the market were rallying on high volume, i wouldn't have placed that trade. the market was up a good part of the day until options expiration kicked in at noon. but the volume dimished as the day went on and the channel was broken near resistance. so it turned out to be an opportunity. but that doesn't mean the market won't gap up on monday?
no offense. good luck with your trade.

sig ....
Can;t say that I've ever really doubted you ....
But ... i Just love these traders that let you "live" the trade with them ...
Of course, I wouldn't ask you to provide the specifics of your trade ....
Just something like ...
"Boy .... those moving averages are getting mighty tight ... and I think this thing is gonna break down ... and I think I'll fish some 85 SPY puts below $3 and see what happens ...
I, for one, don't expect you to be right all the time ....
The casinos only have the odds tilted in their favor by a few percentage points ...
And look what they've built .... with those few percentage points ....
I just would like to "live" the trade with you ....
Right or Wrong ...

I've very much enjoyed and learned a lot from what signaltap has shared. I've been mostly lurkingin this forum but have been doing some day trades with DDM and DXD. While this volatility seems to of actually made it easier, I've noticed that I'm getting in at the right times now compared to when I was just paper trading.
I've seen that he posts in the platinum area and have been considering upgrading as to listen live.

Looks like this trade got a little more interesting today.
Volume seems a bit light though.

Incredibly light ... given the magnitude of the moves that we've been seeing ...
And since it looks quite likely that we will be at a "high" going into October 22 ...
I can't wait to see how these timing gurus do with their prediction ....

Signaltap,
Last Wednesday you said that when the puts fell to $1.72 that you bot another 50 and would close them out Thursday or Friday. At the time the indicators were telling me that we were due for a bounce on Thursday or Friday. I was wrong. I mean I was really wrong. What were you looking at on Wednesday that caused you to think that a continued sell-off could last into Friday?
