If I want to create a chart that is a weekly chart with a 30 MA and be able to look at it at any time, will this be a Chart Template, Scan or PCF? I am just a little confused on how much detail is saved on each one. Thanks

When you apply a moving average to a chart. It is on the chart in its times frame.
On a daily it will be daily. On a weekly it will be 5 days.
Scans will look for conditions.
PCF's are what create the scans.
Both have nothing to do with a chart plot. (unless you create a custom indicator)

You will need to create a Chart Template. Your Chart Template will need a 30 Bar Moving Average added and the time frame set to Weekly. Once you have these set you can save your Chart Template to your system.
I have included the following resources for you.
