Topic: Flagged Items Watchlist on 2 computers
Posted: Monday, November 28, 2011 8:00:24 PM

The items I flag on my laptop are different than the items I flagged on my desktop.  When I call up the 'Flagged Items' watchlist, the watchlist contains only items I flagged on that machine.  Is there a way to keep flagged items in sync, across machines?

Thanks,
jm

Bruce, please disregard the above post; I have found and now have included

'# Cumulative

Now the watch-list lists correctly.

Thanks,

Bruce,
 I have applied this to my charts, and the indicator portion appears to work well, but when used as a watchlist column, the values are not the same as what is given in the indicator window.

Any suggestions?

Very nice.  I will note the caveat about backtesting too.

Thanks Bruce.
Topic: Lateral adjustment to True Marker

When a condition is met and a True Marker is generated, it always is placed on the last, most current bar that completes the condition.

Is it possible to adjust the placement of the Marker, by Offset, Real Code, or some other way, such that the Marker appears over a specific bar in the group of bars that create the condition.

For example, if I wish to find a specific 5-bar price pattern, such that the 3rd bar in the sequence is the highest high of the group, can the Marker be placed over that 3rd bar, instead of the 5th bar?

Thanks

Topic: Bar Interval Properties
Posted: Saturday, July 30, 2011 1:04:58 PM

There is a selection box in 'Add Bar Interval' box that options "Do Not use Streaming Data".  If I create a time interval, for example 3 Minute, then the option is available to either check or not.  I was under the impression that all intra day data was streaming.  Is this true?  What is the difference between creating a 3 min bar with or without the Streaming Data option checked?

Thanks,

Topic: Calculate next bar's close to close at a MA
Posted: Monday, July 11, 2011 10:22:05 PM
PT:

This might work:

(8 + 6 + 9 + 10 + x)/ 5 = x, where what number in our calculation will equal the MA itself
33 + x = 5x, adding up the 4 remaining terms, and multiplying both sides by 5;
33 = 4x; subtracting x from both sides
8.25 = x

So,
for a given MA, say period P,
Then take the last P-1 terms, and divide by P-1, to solve for x.

Yes?  Does this work?

Topic: $TRIN versus TRIN-X?
Posted: Monday, July 11, 2011 7:41:12 PM

What is $TRIN giving us?  TRIN-X seems to be following:

(Adv Issues/Declining Issues) / (Adv Vol/Declining Vol)

How is $TRIN calculated, and/or why are the two values different?

Thank You,

John
