I now wonder if this was some sort of precursor symbol to the crash this week.

Thoughts?

Let us know what happens.  I am very curious.  That would be pretty awful of IB.

ABK has continued to be a popular trade among many trading desks even after the momentum pic5ked up on the news.  In the chart below you can see easy swings on an intraday basis.   An easy and over 10 % swings during consolidation is a very attractive proposition.
That alone makes it a favorite, but add the volume and low price of this stock, and you have intraday nirvana.

Intraday Nirvana?  Seriously?

This has to be the most boring annoying stock I have tried trading in my trading history.  Don't lose money or gain money on it.  Just watch lots of trades go by without any voliatily.

I am not sure what type of "intraday trader" you are, but I guess if you like watching your money sit and not move up or down this is the stock for you!  If this is Nirvana no wonder Kobain killed himself from boredom.

This stock has been looking very interesting to me recently.

It was originally brought to my attention by wwwright.

Not a ton of liquidity but good price pattern.

Broke out over a month ago.  Long period of consolidation.  Then another small breakout.

Now it appears to be consolidating at a resistance level last defined in 2006.

If MGIC breaks the $3.00 mark I think it is in for a really big pop.

I still think that AEN is going to have a huge breakout day but wow has volume been pathetic lately.

Exited my position earlier this week with the down market and have watched it just sit and do nothing since.

The first day that volume picks up for this stock once again I think it is gonna take a very nice ride up.

Im a big fan of Windows 7 actually.

Hated Vista.  Lasted just a few weeks before kicking it to the curb.

Am running Win 7 on both my home desktop/trading PC and my work laptop for a while now.

No issues other than occasionally needing a full reboot after putting my laptop to sleep...

Don't think I could go back to XP due to its memory limitations.

Seems like almost every one of these stocks have given back all of their gains within a few days.

So weird....

Do you think its likely for them to try and reach these new highs again in the near term or was it just a weird temporary phenomenon?

Tim,

Where were you sitting,  I was in the third row.  LOL

Back row so no one can see my computer screen tracking stocks on the google finance page.  :-)

I see PSID.  This one has been on my watchlist for a while now.

Confused on HLX though...

Appears to be rangebound (with a small range) for quite a while now.

Volume has been picking up slightly in the past few days but is still pretty minimal.

What are the indicators that you see in HLX?

Thanks,
tim
