Topic: Trading options based on underlying symbol
Posted: Friday, November 17, 2017 4:57:55 PM
Is there a way in TC2000 V17 to trade an option based on the underlying symbol?

For example, can you place an automatic order to close an option trade when the underlying symbol crosses a trendline or moving average?

It can be done in TOS, but I have not found a way to do it in TC2000.

(This is a duplicate post; I first posted on Stock and Market Talk by mistake. Sorry if it causes confusion)

Topic: PCF - Calculate average of a calculated value.

I'm deriving MACD for a class presentation.

I calculated EMA12 (XAVGC12) and EMA26 (XAVGC26), and

EMA12 - EMA26 (XAVGC12 - XAVGC26)

I now want to create an indicator that is the XAVG of (EMA12 - EMA26) for a period of 9 bars.

I'm having trouble with this last calculation; I get error messages.

Can you please help with this PCF.
