When I test the formula, C1 >=7 and <=8, I get a pop up that says: error in formula syntax and below that a message that says: market days needed to calculate 2 What is wrong with my formula? Also, does the the "Telechart advanced tradingt video series" address PCF writing?

Thans in advance - Tom

Over half of the series is dedicated to increasing your ability to write your own PCFs.

What are you trying to do with your PCF (the syntax is wrong)

Are you looking for today's or yesterday's price to be in a certain range?

If you are looking for today's price to be between 7 and 8, you don't need a PCF. Use PRICE PER SHARE (which is already in the system) and set the range values to between 7 and 8.

If you are looking for yesterday's price create a PCF called PRICE YESTERDAY and set the formula to:

C1

Then add it to an EasyScan and use the VALUE range selector to limit it to 7 to 8.

Hi Tom: The answer to your specific question about the syntax error is that you did not repeat the C1 in your formula. Try using C1>=7andC1<=8
