I was following the turnaround tuesday video by Mr. Worden and in my bottom window I have my moneystream and 22 day SMA but the 22 day SMA does not show up (I do have visible checked). My timeframe is daily and zoom level is 9. When I zoom to level 8 it does show up but not 9

The moving average is calculated on MoneyStream that is visually available on the chart. At zoom 9 there is not enough data plotted to calculate a 22-period moving average. To see, edit the moving average at zoom 9 and click the down arrow on the period. Once you get to 18 you will see it starting to plot. As you go lower from there you will see the average plot "get longer".

This bug should be fixed. It has always been present as best I recall. It happens with any built-in moving average placed on MS. It leads to intolerable inaccuracies in the case of EMAs.

There is a workaround. Plot MS as a Cumulative Custom Indicator using the PCF:

MS1.0-MS1.1

Now, place the desired moving average on the Custom Cumulative Indicator. This will solve the problem. It will also allow you to observe the error when using EMAs.

Thanks.
