Topic: PCF for gaps filled
Posted: Wednesday, July 23, 2014 11:07:44 AM

Hi Bruce,

By Gap-up, I mean above the previous close ( call it candle 1). Gap-up of 2% or more in any of the past 10 days.

By Gap filled, I mean a close above candle 1. Price retraces to just above candle 1.

Does this make sense?

James

Hi,

Can you help me with a PCF where there has being a gap up of 2% or more in the past 10 days?

Also, is a pcf possible where this gap has being nearly filled = price retraces to a low that is just above the high of the candle where the gap orignated? If this makes sense.

Thanks for your time.

James

Topic: First Bullish candle after a high
Posted: Tuesday, April 1, 2014 8:13:17 PM

Hi,

I'm trying to write a formula to show the first candle, where close is higher than open, within 5 candles after a new high of the past 250 candles.

So I thought this (but it doesn't work). Can you help, please?

(C1 = MaxC250 AND C > O)

OR

((C2 = MaxC250 AND (C1 > O1 OR C > O))

OR

((C3 = MaxC250) AND (C2 > O2 OR C1 > O1 OR C > O))

OR

((C4 = MaxC250) AND (C3 > O3 OR C2 > O2 OR C1 > O1 OR C > O))

OR

((C5 = MaxC250) AND (C4 > O4 OR C3 > O3 OR C2 > O2 OR C1 > O1 OR C > O))

Topic: Close not equal to previous close

Hi,

Thank you, the formula seems to work today.

I also do not want the close equal to a round number. Is there a function for "round number" or "whole number"?

Hi,

Is there any way of easily writing Close today not equal to Close of any bar over the previous 70 days?

I wrote it out like this. Didn't work.

C <> C1 AND C <> C2 AND C <> C3 AND C <> C4 AND C <> C5 AND C <> C6 AND C <> C7 AND............. C <> C70

Can you help, please?

I'm not sure of the format to use.

Does (H-O) > ((O-L) x 10) give me (Highest price today - Open Price today) IS TENS TIMES GREATER OR MORE THAN (Open Price today - Lowest Price today)?

Because it's giving me all kinds of different, unexpected results?

Thanks

Hi,

I am trying to produce a formula for a Pinbar. I watched the webinars and have read the webpages but I can't make the formulas from the webinars work and my own simple formula for a Pinbar is:

(H-O) > ((O-L) x 10) = 1

(Highest price today - Open Price today) IS TENS TIMES GREATER OR MORE THAN (Open Price today - Lowest Price today)

Can you help me with this formulas, please?

Many thanks.

James
