Bruce,
What is the derivation of the number "42" in this formula. In other words, if I want to write a formula for a different length of time, I think I can figure out the rest of it, but what does the "42" represent?

AVGC8 + 3.5 * (3.5 * C + 2.5 * C1 + 1.5 * C2 + .5 * C3 - .5 * C4 - 1.5 * C5 - 2.5 * C6 - 3.5 * C7) / 42

Craig,
Can you tell me how the last number is calculated i.e., 10, 82.5 and 665?
Thanks.

Can you help me with a PCF that will identify an xavgc, say 21 days, which is as nearly a straight line as possible?

At about 65 or 70 days I can no longer scan(except very slowly) with xavgc. I think this has to do with where the data is stored, either on the hard drive or in RAM. Maybe not. If the reason is something like this, with the advent of computers with much larger RAM then before, can I make an adjustment which would permit me to scan for criteria with more than about 65 or 70 days data?
