How do I copy all data, including but not limit to, all stock symbols and their histories to the harddisk so I can use the software without tying up my CD drive?

Thanks for asking! Copying the historical data from the CD to the hard drive ought to make scrolling through a WatchList of stocks go a little quicker on your computer!
I put together a short video showing you how to do this.
You'll find the steps listed in the Help file as well under the topic "Hard Drive Charts"...so you can review them again in the future, should you need to.

FYI, version 6.0 of TeleChart automatically maintains all history on your hard disk (instead of CD-ROM) and is faster than 5.3. The beta test version will be available to download in November.

Steve, The current Beta of TeleChart 2005 uses almost the same amount of space on my hard drive as TCNet 2.3 with Hard Drive Charts installed (554 MB versus 536 MB). Both installations have similar, but not identical, settings. Hard Drive Charts are not separate in TeleChart 2005, but account for 383 MB of my TCNet 2.3 installation.
Customer installations can vary in size depending on settings. Since TeleChart 2005 is currently in Beta, there could be significant changes between its current and final form.
