Where can I find the end all, be all guide to symbol linking such as who has what, can it be expanded, can I creat a dictionalry, and so on? Also some for the Time Frame Function?

The only documentation of symbol and time frame linking is in online help (which can be accessed by selecting Help | Help from the menus in TC2000).

It really isn't much more complicated than that and there is no linking functionality available beyond just matching the colors of the linking icons. You are limited to the colors which are already available. You cannot add your own colors. So there are no dictionaries or ways to expand this feature on your own.

The only way to tell what color the symbol linking icon is for a particular window is to actually look at the window in a layout. The symbol linking icon color will not be displayed for a chart in the list of charts to add for example if you were to select Charts.
