Bruce,

In watching the video in your archives (version 7)  for using linear regression sorts to help spot divergences, Craig uses a linear regression visual sort and adds that to a watchlist.

I don't see that choice in TC2000 - is there a way to replicate what he has done in the video?

Thanks,

Wm

The Visual Slope, Percent Slope, Channel, Visual Value, Visual Change, Net Change and % Change sorts from TC2000 version 7 are not available in TC2000 version 12.3 for most indicators (channel type indicators allow Net Change and % Change sorts). The Actual Value sort can be added to a WatchList by clicking on the indicator and selecting Show values in WatchList.

It is possible to create Indicator Formulas for Linear Regression which could be used to Linear Regression % Slope.

But there is no way to calculate the Visual Slope of a Linear Regression Line in TC2000 version 12.3.

All of that said, you can create EasyScans for basic divergences using Linear Regression Slope in TC2000 version 12.3 without creating any formulas at all.

Add Linear Regression Line indicators to the two indicators of interest and ajust the settings as desired. Then click on both Linear Regression Line indicators in turn and select Create Scan Condition. You will want to use Moving Down Net for one of the Linear Regression Lines and Moving Down Net for the other Linear Regression Line. Set the Period to 1 and the Net Change to 0 for both Conditions.

Create Conditions from Your Chart

You would then use both Conditions as EasyScan Conditions in the same EasyScan.

Hi Bruce:

Is there a pre-built PCF or method to sort linear regression lines by their visual slopes in version 17 as that is possible in version 7.

Thanks.

Kenneth

No, visual slope sorts of linear regression lines are not possible in TC2000 v17.
