I am having trouble using specific dates instead of numbered days ago. Easy Scan stock lists don't match when comparing one method with the other.

As an example, assume: C is 3/13/13; C1 is 3/12/13; C2 is 3/11/13; C3 is 3/8/13; C4 is 3/7/13 and C5 is 3/6/13.

If I want to divide the 3/12/13 close by the 3/8/13 close would I use C1/C3 using the days ago method?

If I want to make the same calculation using actual dates would I use C'3/12/13'/C'3/8/13'? (The actual dates method using the format shown is the one resulting in incorrect stock lists.)

Also, for example, would AvgV5.2 be eqivalent to AvgV5.'3/11/13'?

Thanks

You need to put a spaces in C'3/12/13'/C'3/8/13' and use C'3/12/13' / C'3/8/13' instead. Other than that, your description of how replacing the bars ago paramater with a date works would seem correct.

The values returned by the various example formulas given in your post match exactly on my computer. If they do not match on your computer, you may want to contact technical support.
