Could you please tell me how to scan for volatility squeezes? I don't see it as a pre-built scan.

You haven't provided a definition of Volatility Squeeze, but other traders wanting something similar have asked for Bollinger Bandwidth to be less than .06.

In TC2000 version 12, you could add Bollinger Bandwidth to the Charts, set the Period to 20, Std Dev to 2 and then click on the BB and select Create Condition | Less Than: .06 to create the Bollinger Band Squeeze Condition. You could then add it to a Scan along with similarly created Conditions for Price and Volume.

It reads like you have added a Bollinger Band indicator to the chart instead of a Bollinger Bandwidth indicator.

I did. I tried the Bolinger Bandwidth and scanned the SP500 and it has been scanning for a couple of minutes and still just says scanning

You may want to contact technical support as it takes 1.2 seconds to scan the entire US Common Stocks WatchList on my computer (and it shouldn't be much different on any computer as the calculations are done on our servers).

All e-mail communication sent to support@worden.com during business hours (Monday through Friday 9AM-11PM and Saturday and Sunday 9AM-3PM ET) should be answered within 20 minutes of arrival.

For an even quicker response to tech support questions, we recommend calling our voice line at (919) 408-0542 (there is no phone support on Sundays, some Market Holidays or after 9PM ET on weekdays).

You can also contact us using Live Chat Support during business hours.
