Is there a way to create a PCF that will indicate an Aroon(13) crossing up through an Aroon(34)?

I'd also like to do the reverse, e.g.,  Aroon(13) crossing down through an Aroon(34).

Too bad we can't just do Aroon(13) > Aroon(34)  AND Aroon(13.1) < Aroon (34.1) and vice versa.

I tried the following (13 crossing 34 up) in both TC2007 and TC2000. But the results do not seem to match a TC2000 V12 plot of Aroon(13) and Aroon(34) in the same window. Maybe there are mistakes in my formula.

I must be doing something wrong. As I mentioned, the formulas that you provided for the Aroon with values of 13 and 34 match the values of the chart pefectly on a daily basis.

When I plot the Up and Down portions in a %True indicator, they reflect each and every signal of the TC2000 Aroon chart.

However,  when I use the complete formula in a %True PCF, it does not appear to display the Aroon (13-34) buy signal of the SP-500 on 8/16/2011. Don't know why.

I'm not really sure how to test the formula values for yesterday's number.

Since you indicated the values of 13 and 34 match the chart perfectly, I'm assuming you have broken the formulas for the 13-Period Aroon Oscillator and 34-Period Aroon Oscillator out, plotted them as Custom PCF Indicators and compared them directly to the Aroon Oscillators

You can break out the 13-Period Aroon Oscillator and 34-Period Oscillator for yesterday out of the formula and compare them to 1-Period Simple Moving Averages with an Offset of 1 to the Aroon Oscillators to test those values as well.

I have adjusted the formula slightly in my Tuesday, August 23, 2011 2:58:32 PM ET version however, so you may want to give that a try instead of your current version.

Got it....finally. I misunderstood when you said that you modified your formula. I was looking for a new post (from you) and assumed you thought I was back to my incorrect formula.
