Can I write a PFC to to look at a stock's sub industry? I want to sort stocks by how strong each stock's sub industry is. For example, when the sub industry is above its 50 day MA.

Thanks!

Personal Criteria Formulas cannot currently include references to other symbols. However, you can sort the Media General Industries and Sub-Industries by any criteria and then change the Watchlist to its Sub-Industry Components. The first of the following videos show how to use the Industry Menu and the rest are applicable to analyzing the relationships between industries and their components:

Using the Industry Menu to analyze stocks relative to their industries and sub-industries
Use Comparison and Relative Strength graphs to compare a stock to the rest of its industry group
