I have a layout with 3 charts. I've created and saved a price paint scheme from an indicator on chart 3.
As I understand it, I should be able to use that paint scheme on a different chart of the layout that does not have the related indicator. Is that correct?
Taking it further, can I use that saved paint scheme in any layout - even those without the indicator present? Does it matter whether the indicator has been saved or not?

Ooops,
Forgot about the condition that is involved too. Does the condition have to be saved - either for the layout with the indicator or the layout without it?

A Saved Paint Scheme should work on any Chart even if the Indicators on which it are based are not present (because the Indicators should be bottled into the Paint Scheme when it is Saved). These Indicators won't be linked to those on any Charts however.

Bruce, I don't understand what this means in a practical sense -
"These Indicators won't be linked to those on any Charts however."

Let's say you are Painting something using a Condition based on the Value of a MACD. If you save a Paint Scheme, the Condition and MACD will be bottled into the Paint Scheme and will no longer be linked to the Chart. Any changes you make to the Condition on the Chart or the MACD on which it is based will no longer affect the Paint Scheme (you would need to Edit the Paint Scheme itself).
