Is there any way to take a list of symbols from excel and paste the entire list into the watchlist or do you have to do it one symbol at a time?

You can just Copy the Symbols from within Excel and then Paste them into a Personal WatchList.

Bruce, when I do that, only the first symbol is pasted. If I have fifty stocks in the list, will I have to do this fifty times and remove the first symbol each time? It would be faster just to type them in one at a time.
I also tried copying the list into word as a text file and still onlt the first symbol is pasted.

Make sure you are highlighting all of the symbols in Excel you wish to copy before trying to copy them. It definitely pastes all of the copied symbols into the WatchList when I do so.

Sorry Bruce, All the symbols are highlighted and I can paste them into word just fine. Could I be pasting them in the wrong place? I click on add Symbols, the add symbols to watchlist box pops up on the screen, I place the cdurser in the box where you would type in the symbol and paste. Only the first symbol pastes in the block.

Paste it into the WatchList itself. Right-click on the WatchList and select Paste.

Working fine here, marco.  Are you sure you're trying to add symbols to a personal list and not a system list?

It was a personal list. But after reading that you couldn't reduplicate the problem I copied the symbols already in the watchlist, created a new watchlist and pasted the symbols there. So I has the problem with an existing watchlist, but not with a newly created one. It's odd. In the new watchlist I can add symbols no problem.
