 Please tell me if the following can be done for back testing purposes.

install a tc2005 in one folder today.
install another copy of tc2005 in another folder tommorow.
update any one of them and be able to keep at least 10 or
so copies of tc2005 on the hard disk on different folders.

if not, what can be done to get the previous data to back test eveything.

 The program will not allow you to do this.

You can create PCFs that are for X days ago (see the syntax below)

You can also try the technique I give here:

Visually Backtesting Specific Symbols

Limited backtesting can be done in TeleChart but it is, by no means, a program designed for backtesting.
