TC2000 version 7
How can I create a scan that will provide stocks with good point gain?
In TC2000 v17, you can click on price on the chart (usually this will be the symbol in green in the upper left corner of the pane in which price is plotted) and select Create Scan Condition. You will want to choose one of the Moving Up options in the Conditions drop-down menu and set the requirements as desired.
There should then be a Scan or Scan in New Window button at the bottom which will allow you to create a new EasyScan based on your new condition.
In TC2000 v7, you would want to decide what constitutes a decent point gain. Let us say you want price to have increased at least $10 since the previous close.
C >= C1 + 10
Or you want price to be up at least 2% since the previous close.
C >= 1.1 * C1
You would create the Personal Criteria Formula and then use it as an EasyScan Condition.
