how can i do this ?

i have rsi 40 line.

i have macd line overlaid on rsi and both aligned to zero line

i want to buy when rsi cross up thru 40 line
and
when macd line crosses rsi 40 line.

basically i want to buy when the momentume and rsi both are in gear and an explosive up move is potentially possible.

i think it will require the code to say macd line cross rsi 40 .

first we will have to define rsi 40 line.  i guess.

thank you.

You cannot scan or filter between two indicators that are not plotted on the same scale.  Even if you center the 0 line on both, they're not scaled together.

If you scale them together, MACD will probably never cross RSI.

arathod,
One thought on a way to use the same Scale would be to add a Stochastic of Indicator to the MACD and then compare the Stochastic to the RSI.
