Topic: Backscan calculations

How are the backscans calculated in reference to Linear regression channels? I've run a couple scans and the numbers (returns) are WAY off. The question is are calculations done by ploting the regression channel
and begin the back test from "x" days back or are the calculations stated from the current day and plotted forward?

Is it possible to create a chart to find the percentage of stocks within a sector (MG110, MG120 etc.) above their 50 pma? Similar to Worden Market Indicator T2108.

First,  can you forward me the formula for Linear Regression Channel for StockFinder. Second, is there a way to screen for a positive sloping Linear Regression with prices at the lower channel AND a spike in volume (visa versa).

Thank You

I am trying to produce a new personal criteria formula using the closing price and the difference of the 50 period expoential moving average. The problem is that it is telling me that I need 250 data points to do this. I would imagine that only 50 points would be correct.

I read that thread and it does give me some useful information.

I am very interested in Tanstaafl's formula for the Raschke variant of the Keltner channels...how would I get in touch with him to get that information?
