I may be repeating myself -- I need a pcf to show MACD signal line crossing above MACD

Following your latest message: (1) I deleted every reference to TSV18 in my TC2000. (2) re-entered the PCF putting a space in front of ">" and "<=". (3) Created an EasyScan using "All items" and PCF. (4) Got exactly the results you showed -- WORKS PERFECTLY - who knows "why" or cares. (5) Thanks loads for your help and patience - Mitch

I am still trying to find a solution to my TSV18 crossing over the TSV18 average, but am having no luck. I have tried everything that Bruce suggests, but still no luck. I even dropped a note to Don or Peter, but all I got was the canned response and no attempt at a solution. Pretty obvious they could care less. Here is what I wrote them (updated fro today:
Attn: Don or Peter. I hate to bother the boss with small problems, but I have no where else to go. I am looking for a PCF that will show me simple 18 day TSV crossing up thru simple 18 day TSV AVG. I am using a formula supplied by training support ((TSV18.0) > AVG(TSV18.0,18) AND (TSV18.1) < AVG(TSV18.1,18))
When I put this formula in an easyscan, today I get 231 hits, yet they don't answer the question posed by the PCF. Take SMN, it looks like the crossover occured 5 days ago. When I edit the PCF against SMN, it shows failed (with some ridiculous values) yet it shows up in today's list as "crossing over". These discrepancies go on and on --
What gives?? Can you have someone explain to me what is wrong with my expectations for the PCF, or, give me a better PCF that will accomplish what I am seeking, or, fix the program so it will show ONLY those items looked for in the PCF.
Thank you for your attention. I have enjoyed your program for lo these many years now -- couldn't do without it. Mitch (kcmitch)
Please guys, give this some serious thought. I did real well years ago with this signal, but I lost it somewhere and I really need it back. Thanks, kcmitch

I must be doing something wrong. I am using the PCF TSV18 > AVG(TSV18,18) AND TSV18.1 <= AVG(TSV18.1,18) to pinpoint the day when TSV 18 crosses above the TSV 18 day moving average.
When I try and use it, I get selections where TSV has crossed over days ago. The easyscan using my PCF shows the PCF to be true, but when I test the PCF it shows "false"
What must I do to get a return showing stocks that have crossed over TODAY (or yesterday)???
I have been using Telechart for many more years than my profile shows, but this has me completely baffled. TSV18 and the 18 day avg are both simple. Help PLease!! Mitch

I am using a PCF for "up 3 days in a row" (C>C1 AND C1>C2 AND C2>C3). When I test this against KSU I get the astounding result of "38.17 > 38.80 etc." !!! What can I do to get a TRUE "up 3 days in a row?? I have deleted and redone the PCF three times - same result. - Thanks, Mitch (kcmitch)

I am trying to design a personal criteria that will show me when the 18
day TSV crosses over the TSV18 average for the day. TSV18 >
AVG(TSV18,18) AND TSV18.1 < AVG(TSV18,18) doesn't appear to do it --
can you advise?? Thanks - Mitch
