I am wondering if someone can help me to create an alert (in either program) that will actually alert me when there is a MACD crossing in a universe of stocks. To complicate things a little more, I would like to customize the parameters also. Would REALLY appreciate help, if this is possible!
Thank you

Thanks much for your reply. I really wasn't looking for the formula for the signal to cross 0, I was more interested in a formula for when the lines cross EACH OTHER either below or above the 0 as a signal for a change in direction. I'm not referring to the histogram, but the moving signal lines. I would like to be able to scan for these signal crossovers.
Thank you

Hi, I don't really know how to create the formulas and would really appreciate your help with this. I use a 5,35,5 combination for my MACD indicator and I would like to have a pcf to pinpoint the crossover from below and the crossover from above.
Thanks much for your help!

HI, I don't know how to write the formulas, so I would really appreciate help with this. I like to use a 5,35,5 combination for the MACD signal crossovers. Can you please tell me the correct formula for identifying both MACD crossing up from below and crossing down from above?
Thanks much!

Doug, Thanks for your response, but unfortunately, when I tried to open the video, I got no response. It just isn't happening. Any ideas? Sherri

I would like help in creating a particular scan. I would like to be able to scan for stocks that are in a consolidation, say for a minimun of 2 weeks and max of 3 or 4 months. I want to find stocks that are in a very tight range with very little volatility. Can you please instruct me how to execute this? Would you also, please send the response to my email at "(email removed by Moderator)"? Thank you! Sherri
