Just use the Advance Decline Line Indicator from the Web Library.

Bruce,

I need to only plot this on Liquid stocks. The one in the library plots it on all stocks regardless of their size and liquidity.

How do I plot AD line on stocks that meet my liquidity requirments. Can you show me how to write the RC and I'll drag and drop the liquity rule in it.

thx

Just add Price.Last > Price.Last(1) to your liquidity requirements to create a Rule for going up and Price.Last < Price.Last(1) to your liquidity requirements to create a Rule for going down.

Then create Custom Index for each Rule to count the number of symbols returning True.

You can then Drag and Drop each Custom Index into a RealCode Indicator which has a static sum set to 0 if isFirstBar which just adds the going up Custom Index and subtracts the going down Custom Index at each bar.

Is this what you are talking about?

Price Up - Ran a CI to plot Count

'# SC = condition.ScanCondition
If SC.Value = True AndAlso _
 Price.Close > 2 AndAlso _
 Price.Close > Price.Close(1) Then Pass

Price Down - Ran a CI to plot Count

'# SC = condition.ScanCondition
If SC.Value = True AndAlso _
 Price.Close > 2 AndAlso _
 Price.Close < Price.Close(1) Then Pass

AD line

'# ICU = indicator.Index-PUCount
'# ICD = indicator.Index-PDCount
'# Cumulative
Static Sum As Single
If isFirstBar Then
 Sum = 0
Else
 Sum += ICU.Value - ICD.Value
End If
Plot = Sum

It looks like what I suggested. I don't see any obvious issues.

There are sections labeled Library Indicators and Library Conditions when you select Add Indicator/Condition to Chart in StockFinder. These Indicators and Conditions constitute the Web Library.
