I would like to know if there is a way to program a scan that identifies when TSV 15 with an exponential moving average of 25 is at the bottom of a stocks chart on the 5 minute, 60 minute and daily chart.

I can't think of a practical automated method of doing for doing so in all three Time Frames even if the Chart Zoom and type of TSV (Simple or Exponential) is known.

You could use one of these formulas as a Personal Criteria Formula to determine if the 25-Period Moving Average of a 15-Period Time Segmented Volume is at the bottom of the Pane of a Zoom 9 Daily Chart displaying 20-Minute delayed data. Changing the Zoom would require a longer version of the formula following the same pattern using a number of terms based on the number of Bars in the Zoom.

Personal Criteria Formula are always based on the twenty-minute delayed Daily data, but you could use the same formula as a Custom Percent True Indicator to get a Plot of the results in a different Time Frame Plotted on the Chart. You could then use Indicator Sorting on the Indicator. Realtime Indicator Sorting is limited to the top 200 symbols in the WatchList however.

This looks good, however It would be more beneficial if I could use it on a zoom 4.  Is that possible?

The formula are quite a bit longer for Zoom 4 than Zoom 9 because Zoom 4 has 148 Bars while Zoom 9 only has 20 Bars. The formula for the Simple TSV would be:

I would like to know how to extend a PCF that is used to scan on daily time frame to a perform scans on a 4 day time frame chart. For example, I have a simple scanner that I use to scan for price crossing a 20 period moving average on a daily timeframe. I would like to extend this to scan for price crossing a 20 period moving average on a 4 day timeframe. Would it work if I simply change the time period from 20 to 80 (i.e., 20 times 4)?Thanks

It is not possible to extend these particular Personal Criteria Formulas to a 4-Day Time Frame without knowing how Time Segmented Volmue is calculated (and that is proprietary).

You could use them as Indicator Sorts as pointed out in my Friday, September 10, 2010 12:43:57 PM ET response however.
