Hi Rich,

Welcome to the forum!
Good luck with that.

If you find one, let me know. ;)

We can only help you create scans for something which has happened, not something which will happen.

Not only that, Bruce can't give advice. He's AWESOME if you have a specific, unambiguous, defintion of what you're looking for.

Bruce, you may want to move this thread to the Stock And Market Talk forum ... maybe somebody there will have suggestions. Just a thought.

If this is a feature request,  I second the motion

I'm not sure why you would limit yourself  to only stocks who's future price is up 2-3% , Let's go big

apologies for being an ass....  just noticed  richamit's first message,  keep the questions coming.  May not have an answer for this one but maybe the next one.

No apologies necessary. You're right, why stop at 3%? LOL.

The only thing I can figure is that maybe there's a bit of a language barrier - never heard the words "must" and "benefit" used in that context. Maybe richamit wasn't actually asking for a crystal ball.

May just have been my overly-caffeinated brain projecting on him. :)

You are right, it could just be a request for a volatility scan of some sort. Maybe a condition formula for symbols which have returned at least 2% on a day in the last month.

CountTrue(C >= 1.02 * C1, 21) > 0

Nice column addition to sort by.... i.e. what has been moving up in your list over last 21 days

    CountTrue(C >= 1.02 * C1, 21)

Bruce, I'm always right. LOL. Just takes me awhile sometimes to figure it out. ;)

That PCF is a nice idea ... the friend I converted to TC2000 from a competitor likes to use ATR in addition to her liquidity filters (price and volume). She likes at least a 2% daily average if she can get it.

I prefer the Average Percentage True Range you put together for me from a TASC article, but she's been doing the math in her head so long it's second-nature. So she sticks w/ ATR.

Just sitting here sippin' coffee and flirting with baristas until Larry Connors new book drops. The PDF copy should be available sometime today.

Thank you stock guy, I actually meant to have the 3,8 EMA above SMA 50 and 200, so modified slightly to

XUP(XAVGC3,XAVGC8) AND XAVGC3 > AVGC50 AND XAVGC3 > AVGC200 AND XAVGC8 > AVGC50 AND XAVGC8 > AVGC200

What is the best way to put an alert on screen when the condition is met on a watch list ?
