Happy Friday Bruce,

I've seen this before on the Internet; not sure if I've asked you to do this before w/ TC2000 ...

Can you do what you do and create a MACD-Histogram indicator with four colors, using Elder's Impulse default settings:

  1. Rising, below centerline
  2. Rising, above centerline
  3. Falling above centerline
  4. Falling below centerline

Even though our new painted OHLC/Candles are awesome, sometimes my eyes are focused on the price pane, other times on the MACD-H, and still other times on the barista. ;)

A four-colored MACD-H would help minimize the times my eyes have to go up and down. Every little bit helps when you're saving for a yacht.

Thanks!

I have sent you a TCMail with a chart containing my interpretation of the Elder Impulse System (Range) implemented as a sort of OHLC Bar with the range painted. It also has a four color MACD Histogram.

Bruce, very cool. My aging eyeballs thank you!

Question about the price pane ... I'm assuming one of the lines plotted is the EMA(13) ... what are the other three?

RC is the value below which the price of the current bar must be in order for the color of the current price bar to be red.

RF is the value below which the price of the next bar must be in order for the color of the next price bar to be red if the current bar closes at the current price.

GC is the value above which the price of the current bar must be in order for the color of the current price bar to be green.

GF is the value above which the price of the next bar must be in order for the color of the next price bar to be green if the current bar closes at the current price.

There is also a pane pinned to the left side of the chart with some Custom PCF % True Indicators containing some Elder Impulse System color related condition formulas.

Awesome. I'll make sure I save these notes, and the link.

Bruce, you did it again. Enjoy your weekend. Fair winds and following seas!

I already sent you the Elder Impulse System layout earlier today when you requested it in another topic.

Note that some of these indicators have numerous related topics where the same charts have been sent out via TCMail.
