What are GRAB candlesticks?  Do you have any information on how they are formulated?

Hi How,

Bruce can provide some workaounds on Monday with colored dots and other techniques, but one of TC2000's few shortcomings is the inability to paint candles and bars.

I've never heard of GRaB Candles, but Bruce should be able to help. While he was sailing on his yacht, I pulled up the following info...

UPDATE: Looks like StockGuy is in the house. He might be able to help while Bruce is enjoying his weekend.

Good luck!

Another source, but it's an hour long video. Probably everything you need is in that short PDF I referenced above.

First one's free. You've heard of Google, right?

I'm assuming Raghee bases her Propulsion indicator on John Carter's work.
Lots of stuff online if you look.

I have Carter's book which includes that setup, just not with me.
Busy at Starbucks flirting with the barista.

She's never heard of Raghee or John Carter, but ...

Custom PCF Indicator Dots

  • Grab Long (Green Dot) 1/ABS(C>XAvgC34)
  • Grab Short (Red Dot) 1/ABS(C<XAvgL34)
  • Grab Neutral (Whatever color) 1/ABS(C<XAvgH34 and C>XAvgL34)

Can't color bars in TC2000

I couldn't figureout how the Propulsion indicator was working (technical construction) nor did I like its signal

Darvas Box 2.0 is best emulated (I think) with 10 bar Donchian channels

How to manage charts, dots (or histograms) on charts, and how to add signals as columns:

Placing the XAvgC34 (Ema34) overlaid on your candlesticks is just a matter of this.  Left click on Symbol, Add Plot Here, clicking on Moving Average - Exponential, clicking on Average Type (High for green, Last for neutral, Low for Red).

Add the Dots suggested here (I prefer Histrograms), involves doing this operation three times.  Add Plot to Chart, Custom PCF Indicator, then placing bcochrane's PCFs in each one.

You can also add each of the three Custom PCF Indicators (green, blue, red) as Columns.

bcochrane, Bruce, anyone -- I haven't figured out how to add a Grab Green Long (Go Long) or Grab Red Short (Go Short) signals to Easy Scans. Anyone have this figured out?

"Grab Long (Green Dot) 1/ABS(C>XAvgC34)"

This should be:  Grab Long (Green Dot) 1/ABS(C>XAvgH34)

Thanks

TraderLady:

Isn't Long XUp(C,XAvgH34) and

Short XDown(C.XAvgL34)

if you're looking for signals. If you want status, then its the same PCF's as the dots (or whatever one choses :-)

If you want it to be in Long mode:  C>XAVGH34

Short mode:   C<XAVGL34

If you want the first cross:

Long:    XUP(C, XAVGH34)

Short:   XDOWN(C, XAVGL34)

Thanks

UnclePennyBags. I don't need Google.  My wife knows everything.

Apparently Starbucks doesn't enforce stalking laws until your second cup of coffee.  I hear that their coffee is great for making permanent stains on your clothes.  Peace.

Trader Lady,

Propulsion Indicator

1. Select an appropriate time interval "X" (the standard is 14 days);
2. Find DeMax: (current high price) - (previous period's high price). If the value is not greater than zero, DeMax always returns zero;
3. Find DeMin: (previous period's low price) - (current low price). If the value is not greater than zero, DeMin always returns zero;
4. DeMarker Indicator = MovAvg(DeMax) / (MovAvg(DeMax) + MovAvg(DeMin))

No worries. Happy to help with the GRaB thing, but caffeine has its limits.

Wouldn't know about the coffee stains on clothes, as I take mine intravenously ...
