Bruce,
Has any upgrades been made in TC for us to scan for gaps in after hour trading? I am looking to scan or somehow come up with a list of the stocks that are set to gap at the open.
Maybe we can plot the after hour price in a wacthlist column and then sort. Any method that this could be possible?

There is no way to scan or create WatchList Columns based in pre and post market data in TC2000 currently. Currently the pre and post market data only works on the chart.

So the "gappers" preloaded scan, what exactly does that scan for?

It scans for symbols where the low of the current day is above the high of the previous day (gap up) or the high of the current day is below the low of the previous day (gap down).
