Hello,

 

Bruce, could you please help me write the RMI (relative momentum index) PCF for settings 14,5. I have seen this thread http://forums.worden.com/default.aspx?g=posts&t=10910 but could not figure out how to do it.

Bruce - what i have read seems the 20,5 is the standard for RMI

It doesn't appear to be. But my assumption would be that the very next public release will contain changes to the Personal Criteria Formula Language. I don't know how many internal releases there might be between now and then.

bruce, i suppose multiple instances of these long formulas would give me slower chart loads?

I haven't tested these particular formulas, but yes, the more computationally intensive the layout, the longir the layout will take to load and calculate.

Wondering If any discussion on the new release date.

Also these are formulas for std Bollinger Bands 20 , 2 setting 1 BAR ago on Top and Bottom that you made for me a long time ago

We could have a new beta build available as early as the end of this week, but I really cannot guarantee anything beyond, "soon".

In the most recent company test build to which I have access, the first formula can be written as follows.

BBTOP(2, 20, 1)

And the second fomula can be written as follows.

BBBOT(2, 20, 1)

The shorter formulas should be a lot more efficient than the longer workarounds required by the older syntax.

Question occurred to use this morning

 

These new shorter formulas i.e. BBand. This will help you guys alot as we will not be require so many info from you guys.

 

Question  When you release this WILL the Traders (me) need to reload our bband indicators to be on the shorter formula, or will the release just automatically become these

The update to the Personal Criteria Formula Language should be backwards compatible in that older formulas should still work, but the program isn't going to automatically replace older syntax with newer syntax.

Yes i figured that what i am asking is when we add a bollinger band from the standard indicator list of tc2000 I am assuming now your new syntax will be the basis of those

NOT using a pcf just tc2000 stand bollinger band indicator on our chart with current syntax, do we need to remove the bollinger band from the chart and reinstall to install with the new syntax

 

I understand the plots will still work,  I am pulling so hard on data flow that i need to reduce everything as much as possible (my stuff is so bad that  have not even been able to save layout groups for over year)

 

Thus i can close 1 and reload a different one midday (which is what i need to be doing) because i cant create anything to open from
