Topic: BackScan using candlestick patterns
Posted: Tuesday, December 19, 2006 10:13:33 PM
I'm trying to figure out how to create backscans using candletick patterns.

Can you help with two "buy" conditions.

1. Doji with a gap up up the next day

2. Hammer with a gap up the next day

My hpe is that these two examples will provide insight to continue to create more candlestick based backscans.

THX

Craig,

Thanks for a great presentation last weekend. It was a great jump start for me.

I'm trying to create a Back Scan with the following parameters

Buy
7 day front weighted moving average crossing up through 23 day front weighted moving average

Sell

The reserve of above i.e.

7 day front weighted moving average crossing down through 23 day front weighted moving average

I've been able to plot the crossing events on the chart (thanks to last weekend), but making a backscan of then as eluded me.

Thanks again

Bob
