Is there a diff between
H63 and H.63
does the . after H makes a diff or they are both the same?

It works, and you will probably get the same answer in v18 (not necessarily true in earlier versions and not guaranteed even in v18 since it wrong), but you shouldn't use H.63 at all. The syntax is incorrect. It should be only be written as H63 since the first parameter of the non-function version of an indicator in the Personal Criteria Formula Language is not separated from the base syntax.
The only reason you get the same answer in this case is because the indicator only has one parameter. If there are multiple parameters, including the . will then assume the value after the . is the second parameter and use a default value for the first parameter.

IIF(C >= MAXC42.0, ATR42.0,IIF(C.1 >= MAXC42.1, MIN(ATR42,2),IIF(C.2 >= MAXC42.2, MIN(ATR42,3),
Above is just part of a PCF I have.
So you mean I need to say C1 or C2 rather than C.1, C.2 in teh highlighted sections above

Yes, it might work, but it is the wrong way to write the formula. You should change it in case the syntax checker ever gets stricter.
