how to create room above the price history so that I can draw trendlines etc. Thanks.

Right-click on the scale to the right and select Edit. Price is normally going to have Bounds set to By Top and Bottom with Top set to Max Value and Bottom set to Min Value. You adjust the padding % to adjust how much space is above and below price.
