Hi everyone,

The way I've been practicing trading over the past couple of weeks is by setting a stop buy order and three partial position limit sell orders at the same time. However, when I try to set a sell limit order for Kirkland Lake Gold (KL), I get an error message saying "Order Rejected: KL is not available to short". What are some possible explanations for this?

Thanks

In order to short a stock, your broker dealer has to have shares on hand to sell.  TC2000 uses the short shares available from Interactive Brokers which is the clearing firm for TC2000 Brokerage, Inc.  As of right now, there are no shares of KL available for shorting.

Can I trigger a sell order, based on price, after the buy order executes? For example, if I buy a stock at $10, trigger a sell order for $10.57. I see you can add a percentage based profit target in increments of 0.5%, but not one based on price.
