How is it calculated when I use the moving up or down "smart" option.  It seems to come up on a scan at times when it doesnt look like it should.  Am I interpreting this option incorrectly?

Moving Up Smart is just a way to have an English language version of the Moving Up and Moving Down conditions. If you need to know how it is calculated, use the Percent (%) or Net Moving Up and Moving Down conditions instead.

What I can tell you is that when the period is 5, it is going to be comparing the value from 5 bars ago to the current value. What I can't tell you is what magic black box hidden stuff that might happen in the "smart" part of the calculations.
