Hello. Could I please get a few iterations of a calcuation for P/E as the percent of price growth rate?
-
P/E is X percent or less of 5 year price growth rate.
-
P/E is X percent or less of 1 year price growth rate.
Thank you very much.

I have not been able to figure out any way to create the desired conditions. If both fundamentals could plot on the chart, it would be possible to use envelope channels for this.

Hi, Bruce. Thank you for looking into it. There are a number of fundamentals-related calcs I'd like to use, but I'll hold off just for now. Thank you very much.

The envelope channel technique can work if both of the fundamentals can be plotted on the chart.

Hi, Bruce. Thank you. I'm trying to do this right now. Do you mean plotting both values in a pane of their own and then creating a scan condition?

Yes. For example, let us say you wanted to check for P/E Ratio (Trailing) to be to be 80% or less of P/E Ratio (Forward).
Add both indicators to the chart and overlay them into the same pane and scale.
Then add envelope channels to the P/E Ratio (Forward) with a Period of 1 and a Width (%) of 20% (the absolute difference between 80% and 100%).
Click on P/E Ratio (Trailing) and select Create Scan Condition Below Envelope Channel 1 20 Chan Bottom.

Wow. That is cool. I'll experiment to see how this works with various fundamentals ratios, including the original. Thank you for making sure the suggestion was sticking.
