Hello.

Is it possible to return the volume from X bars ago? For example, could I return "the volume at the close of the bar 9 bars back"?

On a related note, is there a way to return the volume at a given prior bar on a specific timeframe. Example: I want to find the "volume at the close of the 15-minute bar 3 bars back".

I know this is somewhat similar to something I asked about a long while back, but looking back on it, my question wasn't very well stated. I think this is clearer and therefore might generate different thinking.

Thank you very much

The volume of 9 bars back can be written as follows.

V9

You can set the time frame of a PCF, but there is no way to mix time frames in the same PCF.

Thanks, Bruce. Yes, I at least do know enough for that lookback. :)

I was trying to simply the question so that I could eventually write a way to compare volume at a recent or the current bar to volume at a specific earlier point. I was going to use the count of bars to pinpoint that time, but I realize this means there would have to be unique calulations for every desired lookback.

Thanks again for the quick help.
