hi
I'm on v17. Recently I've changed my chart background to an off-white colour instead of black. My 'value' grid lines have stayed white and I'm struggling to see them. Also the slider at the bottom of the chart is nearly invisible and I have to fish around for it until I find it.
Is there any way I can access these items to modify
many thanks

Not sure about the color but I think you can adjust the opacity of the grid lines. Have you tried movig the slider all the way to the right?
I agree the slider at the bottom of the chart is hopelessly thin and hard to select. It's almost impossible to grab after my second cup of coffee. I'd also be interested to know if the slider can be resized.

I'm flashing back, but can't quite remember...
Isn't there a keyboard method for scrolling sideways? I know screen real estate is at a premium but I swear that slider at the bottom-right is thinner than a human hair. :)

I guess I mean "panning" instead of "scrolling" :)

Yes, the [ and ] keys will pan left and right. Shift + [ or ] will pan faster. The slider is thin but the "grab area" is a decent size. You can see how far off the line I am in the screen shot below but I still have a hold on the slider.

Thanks, Stock Guy ... we crossed in cyberspace :)
I knew there was a keystroke combination. Forgot. Good to know. Thanks!

The customizability never ceases to amaze me.
When I attend webinars from other vendors (for the trading ideas, NOT the software) I shake my head and laugh at the charts. Look absolutely primitive by comparison.

Under the Tools menu, select System Settings, then select the Chart tab. That will get you to the screen in my 4:28:27pm post above.
Make sure Show Date/Zoom scrollbar is enabled. Then play with the Size slider until you're happy. As StockGuy said, the slider's line will stay skinny but the area you can grab will increase.
Good luck. Enjoy!

The slider is grey unless you move it back in time and then it turns orange to alert you that you're on a "past chart". Unfortunately the color of the slider doesn't change with the background and since your background is grey is practically invisible.
I'll send a message to the dev team, maybe they can adjust for this.

Here I'm pointing to the slider, in what I believe is the default size setting. It's really just a line and hard to spot since it's a micron above another line. It just blends in. Lots of folks probably don't even know it's there, and don't know what they're missing ...

Cool. I never noticed it changed from grey to orange. Head slapper.
Yeah, I know several chart elements adjust on their own when you change the background color, and the slider should definitely be one of them.

That's not the default. Must have gotten adjusted at some point.

You're probably right. Bruce can tell you I'm often overly caffeinated :)
I never messed with it before reading Cigar's post, so I must have slid the Size all the way to the left when I started playing around with it, trying to help. I'm sure there's a Restore Default Settings setting somewhere. Maybe I'll go look for that. Or just slide the slider back a bit to the right.
