I do not know of a way around it. About the best you could do is write a daily formula checking if price is currently above or below yesterday's range.

C < L1 OR H1 < C

That is strange. My reply replaced your post which is no longer accessible to me.

The general gist however was if it is possible to create a condition on a five minute chart checking for price crossing above or below yesterday's range.
