I have trouble finding the right symbols for the S&P, Nasdaq, Russell, Dow indexes.

Everybody else seems to use SPX, NDX, RUT, DJX, but TC2000 doesn't recognize them.

Thank you,

Corto

Just start typing the name of whatever index you are trying to find and it should start narrowing down the list so you can find the symbol.

In many cases, the symbol is going to just be what you expect with a -X or --X after it.

Well, for example I tried typing Dow Jones and then chose DJ-30 from the list. I get the chart, but no options are shown for it.

I guess I should have stated I am looking for the symbols of the options based on the indexes.

Right click on the symbol in the list or on the chart and select Option Chain. This assumes you have susbribed to the options feed and we carry options data for that symbol.

I subscribed to options and it works fine for stocks as you described, but I can't get the option chains for any index based option.

It works for me for the symbol SP-500 and for DIA, so it doesn't seem to be a stock specific feature.

SP-500 indeed works and I also found NDX-X for Nasdaq

But I have no luck finding the options for Russell and Dow Jones?

We don't carry Russell symbols or WatchLists, so there is no way to bring up any Russell options chains within TC2000.

It looks like there is an issue currently with the DJX options. Data and development are looking into it.
