Hello,

Could you please tell me how to create a PFC that will show volume increasing over a number of seconds?    I am interested in the syntax for different time increments under a minute, and I don't want to use the drop down for time incements because I want to be able to include it in a column in my watch list.

Thank you,

Pam

There is no syntax for time frames in the Personal Criteria Formula Language.

There is a Time Frame drop-down menu when you create or edit a PCF which allows you to set the time frame in the same way you would on the chart. This sets the default time frame for the PCF, which can still be adjusted later if you use it for say a WatchList Column.

There is no way to create a condition checking for volume increasing over a number of seconds.

Thank you for your response.

Is there a way then to do syntax for minutes?  - Aside from the drop down menu?

Thanks,

Pam

No, there is not. There is no syntax for time frame in the Personal Criteria Formula Language at all. The PCF Languge just references bars.

The only possible exception to this in that you can substitute dates (but not the time of day) for bars ago parameters. But even when doing so, it doesn't change the time frame being used, it just allows you to reference a specific bar by the date instead of by the number of bars ago it happened.
