The parimiters on my daily chart display are currently set at 63-5-21. Frequently with stocks with volitility, the price action carries the daily charting above and or below the upper or lower levels of the regression lines. I would like to capture the activity between the lines.

Should I be using a diferent settings for the width or all of the parimiters to capture the activity between the lines?

I have displayed a Mmoving Linear Regression but he volitility sems to still exced the lines.Further all of my PCF's are based on the settings above.

Is there an alernative approach that my be used or should I be satisfied with knowng the slope and center line values  of existing display setings?

The width setting of the Linear Regression Channels and Moving Linear Regression Channels in TC2000 are not based on Standard Deviation. How the width is calculated is described in the following discussion forum topic.

Linear regression channel calculations

I do not have a suggestion as to what Width setting you might want to use. With the calculations being done as they are, it might not be possible to define a single Width setting which would capture most data at all slopes.

While it would be possible to create a Moving Linear Regression with the channels based on standard deviation using a Custom PCF Channel indicator, the same is not possible for the Linear Regression Line version.

Thank You Bruce for your help.

You have providd several variatons of Linear Regressin fomulas that have been valuble in the past.

I wold apprciate your help in providing me with the PCF formula to reflect a "True" result  indicating that the daily display of the chart settings above is indicating a "Down Slope"

A Condition Formula for the slope of the Linear Regression Line 63,5,21 in TC2000 version 7 being negative can be written as follows.

31 * (C5 - C67) + 30 * (C6 - C66) + 29 * (C7 - C65) + 28 * (C8 - C64) + 27 * (C9 - C63) + 26 * (C10 - C62) + 25 * (C11 - C61) + 24 * (C12 - C60) + 23 * (C13 - C59) + 22 * (C14 - C58) + 21 * (C15 - C57) + 20 * (C16 - C56) + 19 * (C17 - C55) + 18 * (C18 - C54) + 17 * (C19 - C53) + 16 * (C20 - C52) + 15 * (C21 - C51) + 14 * (C22 - C50) + 13 * (C23 - C49) + 12 * (C24 - C48) + 11 * (C25 - C47) + 10 * (C26 - C46) + 9 * (C27 - C45) + 8 * (C28 - C44) + 7 * (C29 - C43) + 6 * (C30 - C42) + 5 * (C31 - C41) + 4 * (C32 - C40) + 3 * (C33 - C39) + 2 * (C34 - C38) + C35 < C37
