Is there any way I can get TC2000 to display swing points?

I'd like to mark swing highs and lows (defined as x bars on either side) with a marker, like a circle or triangle.

If not, this would make a great indicator.  Easy indicator to write I'm thinking.

Just draw a circle if there are x lower high bars to either side.

You may want to take a look at the Custom historical pivots topic.

Thanks.  I did try it and it's an ok workaround.  My issue is that the dots cover up the price high or low.

To get around it, I added a fudge factor to the SwingHigh PCF to expand the space:  ... + (C*0.005)

but the issue here is that when I switch to hourly or other time frames or stocks with varying prices, the position varies greatly.  Sometimes it's way too high above the pivot.

Can you think of any way around this?  I'd like it to always be a set space above price.

Thanks for any help you can provide.

There isn't a way to make it always a set distance on the chart above price.

You could try to use average range instead of the close as the basis of the percentage.

... + (AVGH50 - AVGL50) * .005

Or maybe the total range over time.

... + (MAXH50 - MINL50) * .005

I'm guessing the factor would need to be adjusted to something larger than .005 for either approach.

I tried your suggestion on the AVGH50 with a factor of 0.2

It works perfectly.  Great idea.  Thanks a lot !!
