Hello everyone! I'm a technical day-trader who wish to find a momentum stocks (In the day) as soon as possible from the opening time. Until now I use only: 1. Charts reading (Candle sticks with VWAP and EMA20,50,200). 2. Relative volume. Unfortunately, I miss 9 out of 10 stocks which apparently were momentum stocks (I realise that, When I watch the charts at the end of the day). What drives me crazy, is the fact that at the beginning of the day I saw these same stocks, but there was nothing special in them that would give a hint about their behavior later in the day... My qeustion for you guys: Do any of you familiar with any technical indicator/s which can give an indication that something is happening behind the scenes, that would help to anticipate the movement later in the day (Except of course, from News/Earnings reports etc.)? Thank you all!!

Check out Harry Boxer at thetechtrader.com. He is unbelievable drawing charts. His service is expensive and I belive he tells you you need to have at least a 100k for his strategy of day trading. He closes every position at the end of the day. He'll give you a 15 day free trial. and look into Dan Fitzpatrick at the StockMarketmentor.com. He'll give you a free month. Both are speakers at the tc2000 conferences. The only technical indicator that will show you something is going on early is volume. check volume buzz balance of power and moneystream. The institutions move the stocks. Harry Boxer is trading online all day in real time. I believe that forum would help you identify the movers. You might want to think about changing you MA indicators because you're using what 90+% use. food for thought. I'm not sure how using the 200 day helps in day trading. you might be better using 10/30.... or 10/50/100. I know people who do that. try that and go back test it a little and see. Good luck.
