I am trying to find if there is any RealCode for StockFiner 5 telling me the Bollinger Band is within Keltner Channel in the past n bars. Any help is appreciated.

You don't need RealCode for this. Just add 1-Period Simple Moving Averages to both the Upper and Lower Bollinger Bands and the Upper and Lower Keltner Channels.

Working with Indicators

Then you can drag and drop the Moving Averages onto each other to create Conditions for for the Upper Bollinger Band being below the Upper Keltner Channel and for the Lower Bollinger Band to be above the Lower Keltner Channel.

You can right-click on the Conditions and select Edit to change Passing 1 of the last 1 bar(s) to Passing 1 of the last n bars. You can then drag and drop the Conditions onto each other to create a Combo Condition.

Thanks a lot, Bruce. I will give it a try. My main goal is for screening stocks that have BB within Keltner in the past few days.

You're welcome. We can do this another way if you can't figure it out, but the technique is relatively straightforward. The main issue is that you have to add the moving averages because you just can't drag and drop channel indicators onto each other ot create conditions in StockFinder.

Select Add Indicator/Condition to Chart (the green + in the upper left corner of the StockFinder chart) and then choose either New RealCode Indicator or New RealCode Condition from the list.

RealCode for Real People: Indicators (6:05)
Writing Conditions in RealCode (10:11)
