Yesss, SF is working fine again, at least in pre-market.

just a little snapshot of daily SPY here. it reached the 200MA. all indicators pointing up.
TD-sequential perfectly picked the bottom on 7/1/10 right at the fib line, after which, TEMA crossed up, CCI50 crossed up through -100, DPO turned green, and Bollinger band turned green.

the only thing that bothers me is the declining volume on each rally. but then again the up move from Feb through March was on below average volume.

Is the:

TEMA 5,34 ,
DPO 14 with BB ,
CCI 5,20,50 ,

Your own stuff ?

The bollingerbands go green/red when its center average moves up/down?

In the top right it says "BarsForward 2" is anything "shifted" on the chart?

Thanks

picked up these indicators on other forums.

Tema : http://forums.worden.com/Default.aspx?g=posts&t=47184
DPO : its in SF, but I modified the blocks to get it red/green colored.
Bbands change color to green when price closesabove top band, from a previous bar close below lower band, or between bands.
change to red, when bar closes below lower band from a previous bar closing either above top band, or between bands.
Thats also done in blocks.
barsforward is a Kuf's code to give you some space on the right side of the chart so you can draw trendlines. its on his blog.

Thanks.

You've talked a lot about DeMark, just wanted to make sure none of that was from him.

I dont think Ive ever heard of him using a "regular" indicator. (heh, heh)

Thanks

yea I know it's easy to be sceptical on the Demark indicators. most of the time DeMark leads the "regular" indicators.
Been scalping SPY calls over the past couple days of a 5min SP500 chart. everytime TD-sequential leads the Tema indicator by a bar or two.
red down arrow : TD-sequential sell
green up arrow : TD-sequential buy
need to see the sell arrow below the red resistance line
need to see the buy arrow above the support line.
TEMA confirms the move
pink down arrow : TEMA cross-down
light green up arrow : TEMA cross up.

I need Options chain data feed in Stockfinder !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Frustrating !!!!
not a single buy or sell signal in the past 7 days or so.

TDST-resistance at 113.20 has been tested twice, no break above. (red dashed line)
fluctuating around the 50% Fib line. (purple dashed line)
still closing above the upsloping trendline, as well as the 200MA. (purple solid line, and light brown)
right in the middle of the Bollinger Band, still green.

something's gotta give out soon.

trying to force myself to keep my trades small.

I am turning negative.   May start putting in some conditional buys on the leverage Short ETF's

Though the price action has been up since the July 2 Lows....the current Volume on the down days is swamping the up days....appears toppy.

My tea leaves say that if the DIA 105.33 does not hold...we will retest  101  shortly, i.e. 3 weeks

I have a couple SPY puts, and will add more once I see a red candle penetrating the 200MA and/or the 50% Apr-June Fib line at 111.6 on the downside.  109.15 on the SPY should be a reasonable 1st target.

SPY 1st target of 109.15 hit today.  I choose 109.15 because that's the 38.2% Fibonacci retracement of the April highs to the July 1st lows.  it's been bouncing of that level all day after 11:25AM.
Amazing how price, the 50MA, and fib line all come together.

SPY puts over 100% profit.

any bounce would be a shorting opportunity.

Another great TD-sequential day.

of the 5min SPY chart took the August 109 calls at 9:55AM at $0.95 on a TD-sequential buy trigger right above TDST-support. I also had a "green candle low" on the same bar. next couple bars triggered a TEMA crossover, as well as CCI's moving up quickly.

1:35PM sold the calls for $1.55 ,  60% profit. on a TD-sequential-sell trigger.
Amazing how several times(5 times to be precise) bars close and open at exactly, to the penny on the TDST-resistance line of 109.95 (white circles).

I keep saying it, I wish we had option chain data feeds in SF, my entries would be even better.

SPY hovering at the 61.8 fib line (7/1/10 - 8/9/10) at 105.8 in pre-market. if that level doesn't hold. I see no other support then the 7/1 lows.

I think the SP-500 needs a Manzier/Bro. (Seinfeld)

bugle followed by a possible diamond formation.

a 50 or 62% retracement looking more probable.

SPY 4hour and lower time frames look bullish, Daily : undecisive. weekly : bearish.
Looking for a short-term bounce into 108 - 109 area. until the Hopium trades wear off.

Another Hopium shot coming? TD-sequential buy setup suggesting a trend-reversal on daily chart today. and we had one on the 4hour chart  on the 25th.

Besides the TD-sequentail setup, Volume has been higher on up days then on down days, over the past five trading days. We haven't seen that in a while.

The setup is not perfected, although it came close. for that to happen we need to see a low, lower then bars 6 and 7. Today's low was 0.18 higher then bar 7.

SPY closed at TDST-resistance. 109.49. took profits, sitting on cash, waiting to see if we break resistance or drop back down.

SPY development per DeMark indicators:
in uptrend you'll see less or no resistance lines, but quite a few of support lines.
in downtrend its the reverse less or no support lines, and more overhead resistance lines. meaning in uptrends the buying sequences are longer, while in downtrends the selling sequences are longer.

Peter,
It looks like you've modified your TD Sequential indicators.

I can't see the details from the Sept 8th chart - could you share what the 2 bottom panes contain - and is it working more reliably than the earlier version

Thanks,
Regards

Bob, I posted an update in the "catching up with DeMark" thread. and zoomed in on a chart, so you can see the indicators better.
I'm still testing it, and looking to see what the setups are with the highest probability.

You mentioned the TD-REI - I thought you had already done that?

Here we are again, back at resistance, and printing TD-sequential sell setups on all major indices:
SPY, RU-A, DIA, QQQQ.
closed all my longs, gonna give it a day or two, see if we bust through or move back down.

sellers came in the 30 minutes.

another low volume rally.

plenty of doji's.

a good place to take some profits. although breadth indicators could go a bit farther.

couple Oct. puts here. we've seen this pattern repeat itself now a few times. A little bit riskier at this time I'd say. since we put in a higher low in August.

The TD-sequential countdown finished 4bars ago, indicating a top, or at least a quick pull back.

I think 1115-1110 is the downside breaking point for the current swing - Otherwise a rally point hopefully for a leg up above 1140.  top 1170-1182. 2wks

Last week SPY printed a TD-sequential countdown sell on nthe weekly chart. Today it finished a countdown sell on the daily as well.
There is a TD-sequential sell setup in the makling, currently at count 8. to finish it, we'd have to close tomorrow higher then 116.65. this in turn could start a new countdown sequence for a continuing up move. But I have closed all my longs and now are looking for shorts.
I added the larry connors RSI 2,1 to the chart (thx APSII, you got me into looking at it). it was above 98 yesterday.
yesterday we also had a TD-sequential countdown sell signal on the hourly chart, right at the highs. together with a RSI2 above 98.
seems like these indicators complement each other quite well.

below the daily and hourly SPY :

SPY hourly crucial point ; TDST-support at 118.45 , and bottom of channel.  bounce here, or down to next support levels.

I like this old post as an example of a concept I've been thinking about.....

Notice how the market did something twice, then the 3rd time it did the fake out?  I've recently been thinking about the "rule of three" and how important it is to keep in mind.

It's too easy to see something occur twice then assume it will happen again...this is where you have to be on alert for the fake out.   Whether its the third test of resistence or support, or third breakout...

think about it.

you are absolutely right.  I got stopped out on that trade. and now enter trades after a little more confirmation.
But I have seen people recommend shorts all the way to the recent top since then.

Also noticed the importance of keeping detailed records of previous trades. I do the same thing: go back to previous posts, and look at the trades that worked and which ones didn't.

thx Ben.

closed above the Bband today. also my bounce of 50MA scan triggered. (blue arrow)

conditions:
close above the top Bband
MA50 has to be upsloping
10MA (middle of Bbands, yellow line) has to be within a "userinput" defined percentage within the 50MA value. currently have it set at 3.4 percent.
If the darm backscanner would work, I could do some detailed testing.

switching to the bull camp again, short term at least.
expecting a test of the recent high.

Hourly TDST-resistance at 122.65.  which was the high of today.

4hr chart ; banged it heads at the 07high - 09low 61.8% fib retrace on 11/5 and 11/9, after a TD-sequential sell setup. tripple bottom bounced of the TDST-support. stalled at the fib with another TD-sequential sell. broke through, and pulling back again with a TD-sequential sell. Pullback target; fib line or TDST-support just below that at  122.41

Can't trust pricing in SF.
on 12/16 daily chart shows a low of 123.11,  while the intraday charts show a low of 123.75.

So SPY did indeed pull back to the fib line. on the 16th.  I mostly use intraday charts, and thus missed that one.

Is the:

TEMA 5,34 ,
DPO 14 with BB ,
CCI 5,20,50 ,

Your own stuff ?

The bollingerbands go green/red when its center average moves up/down?

In the top right it says "BarsForward 2" is anything "shifted" on the chart?

Thanks

Peter, I have downloaded your Shared layout and have been doing some work on the DPO signals. Is there a problem backtesting this DPO modified?

I don't see a problem backtesting conditions based on DPO. what have you  modified, if you don't mind me asking?
